BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Our supporters make up more than half of Lebanon's population, and all of these people are united under the banner of protecting Lebanon, its Resistance, its people, and its integrity.
Sheikh Qassem: There will be no phased handing in of our arms. [The Israelis] must first enact the agreement before we start talking about a defensive strategy.
Sheikh Qassem: Be brave in the face of foreign pressures, and we will be by your side in this stance.
Sheikh Qassem: Stripping us of our arms is like stripping us of our very soul, and this will prompt us to show them our might.
Sheikh Qassem: We will not abandon our arms, for they gave us dignity; we will not abandon our arms, for they protect us against our enemy.
Sheikh Qassem: The US efforts we are seeing are aimed at sabotaging Lebanon and constitute a call for sedition.
Sheikh Qassem: If you truly want to establish sovereignty and work for Lebanon’s interests, then stop the aggression.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States, which is meddling in Lebanon, is not trustworthy but rather poses a danger to it.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States is preventing the weapons that protect the homeland.
Sheikh Qassem: The government’s latest decision [on the disarmament of the Resistance] is non-charter-based, and if the government continues down this path, it is not faithful to Lebanon’s sovereignty.

The Israeli occupation Supreme Court has set October 2 as a date for the next session to look into the petition submitted to appeal the administrative detention decision issued against Palestinian prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous, who is continuing his hunger strike for the 57th day in a row.

The Palestinian Prisoners Information Office reported that administrative prisoners in the Al-Naqab Israeli prison decided to return meals on Thursday in solidarity with prisoner al-Fasfous.

On September 22, sources reported to Al Mayadeen that the Israeli occupation prison administration transferred the hunger-striking prisoner to solitary confinement in Askalan Prison.

Back then, the Palestinian Prisoners Club explained that al-Fasfous is facing harsh detention conditions, in addition to the systematic abuse he has been subjected to since he initiated his hunger strike.

Furthermore, it stressed that the occupation courts were and still are the primary tool that has consecrated the crime of administrative detention by holding mock courts and implementing the decisions of the occupation intelligence only.

It is noteworthy that prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous (34 years old) from the town of Dura, south of al-Khalil, was re-arrested by the occupation on May 2 and was put in administrative detention. He is a former prisoner who spent about seven years in Israeli prisons.

Al-Fasfous went on a hunger strike at the end of May and the beginning of last June, which lasted for nine days. He had also previously gone on strike in 2021 against his administrative detention, which lasted for 131 days.

The Israeli occupation resorts to the policy of administrative detention as a form of psychological torture and pressure on prisoners. Trial sessions in administrative detention take place in a non-public manner, which deprives prisoners of their right to a public trial.

In a related context, the Prisoners Information Office confirmed that the Israeli occupation released prisoner Mufid Ali al-Adini from Deir al-Balah in the central Gaza Strip after five and a half years of imprisonment.

The office also announced that the occupation released prisoner Mohammad Abdel Hamid al-Khatib from the town of Hizma, northeast of Occupied al-Quds, after an administrative detention that lasted 21 months, in addition to the prisoner Malek Akram Mohammad Taqatqa from the town of Beit Fajjar in Beit Lahm after an eight-month detention.

The Prisoners Information Office also reported that the Israeli occupation released prisoner Kayed al-Fasfous' brother, Hassan, after administrative detention that lasted 16 months.
