The Israeli Occupation Forces targeted a civilian car on Lebanese territories using precision munition claiming the lives of three children and putting their grandmother in the hospital with serious injuries.

The munition was launched from a drone directly targeting the car, in Ainata, Southern Lebanon, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent.

In turn, Israeli media immediately announced that the IOF claimed to have "bombed fighters who wanted to target a settlement with missiles."

This violation of sovereignty, and flagrant attack against civilians, marks the first of its kind and the Israeli statement which the extent of the falsification and lies in the occupation’s propaganda.

It is important to note that the town of Ainata is located adjacent to the city of Bint Jbeil and that there are several kilometers between the town and the Lebanese-Palestinian border. The southern villages in Lebanon are still witnessing a largely normal movement of civilians, despite the Israeli escalation on the border.

Israeli media: We should be worried

Commenting on the aggression, Israeli Channel 12 considered that “the liquidation operation in Ainata led to the killing of 3 children, and if that is true, this should worry us, because we know Hezbollah and its very clear equations, army versus army and civilians versus civilians.”

Moreover, the channel underscored that  "Over the years (the Israeli occupation of Lebanon before the year 2000), when Hezbollah would announce that children were killed in southern Lebanon as a result of fire from the collaborators' army or the Israeli army, our family would go to the shelter for 3 or 4 hours knowing that Hezbollah will respond as a result of the killing of children, and I do not want to scare anyone - but when Hezbollah announces that children have been killed, this is a totally different situation."

The targeting of the car comes after an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported earlier today that 4 paramedics from the Islamic Message Scouts Association were injured as a result of the occupation’s bombing of two ambulances, in the southern town of Tair Harfa.

Commenting on the Israeli targeting of ambulances, the Lebanese Ministry of Health issued a statement, in which it condemned the exposure of the association’s two ambulances to missile attack “while performing their humanitarian mission of treating the wounded of the current aggression in southern Lebanon.”

Additionally, the statement stressed that "this barbaric act not only represents a flagrant violation of international humanitarian laws but is also a disregard for the most basic principles of humanity and morality."
