An Israeli military drone was targeted with fire from Syrian territory, during what was described by the IOF as a "reconnaissance mission", Israeli media reported on Wednesday citing a spokesperson for the Israeli occupation army.
The occupation army opened fire at sites where the alleged targeting of the drone inside Syria came from, the spokesperson added.
Last April, the occupation army announced the crash of a SkyLark drone belonging to it inside Syrian territory, claiming that it was due to a technical malfunction.
During the same month, it was reported that three missiles had been fired from Syria toward "Israel". The launches activated alarm sirens in the south of the Golan Heights following an explosion that was heard in the vicinity.
Israeli occupation forces said at the time that two rockets were fired from Syria toward the Golan Heights and "fell in open areas." However, Israeli media then followed up by announcing that three rockets were fired from Syrian territory toward the Golan area.
"Israel" has repeatedly attacked Syrian civilian-populated urban areas and villages on the border with occupied Palestine, including frequent shelling of the countryside of Quneitra and Golan towns.
