The Israeli Occupation Forces (IOF) have infiltrated the northern Gaza Strip on Friday and clashed with Palestinian Resistance fighters.
IOF tanks advanced in the al-Shujaiya neighborhood in northern Gaza, Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported, adding that clashes were ongoing between Israeli troops and Palestinian Resistance fighters.
Meanwhile, Israeli Channel 12 reported that a wide wave of airstrikes supported the operation conducted by the IOF's 252nd Division in al-Shujaiya, and Yedioth Ahronoth reported that "the Israeli army is expanding the buffer zone on Gaza's border," noting that "252nd Division troops are operating at the outskirts of al-Shujaiya neighborhood."
This comes as the Israeli Occupation has killed more than a hundred people in the Gaza Strip in 24 hours, as part of its renewed war on Gaza after "Israel" ditched the ceasefire agreement in favor of a US proposal that ignores that original deal.
Israeli aggression kills hundreds of people in Gaza in 24 hours
25 people were killed after "Israel" conducted an airstrike on a residential building in al-Manara neighborhood in Khan Younis, in the southern part of Gaza, while a husband and his wife were killed in a separate airstrike in northern Rafah, according to Al Mayadeen's correspondent on Friday.
Our correspondent reported that 112 Palestinians were killed in the Gaza Strip since Thursday dawn until midnight, with 71 of the victims being in Gaza City.
The Israeli military targeted a school sheltering displaced families in Gaza City's al-Tuffah neighborhood on Thursday, killing 31 people—including 18 children, a woman, and an elderly person—while leaving three others missing and dozens injured, according to the Gaza government media office.
According to Gaza’s Government Media Office, the Israeli regime has now bombed 229 displacement and shelter centers in a flagrant violation of international law.
"This brutal Israeli aggression comes amid an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe," the office highlighted, "The health sector is on the verge of total collapse due to the destruction of hospitals and the ongoing blockade, making it extremely difficult to provide medical care to the wounded."
Later on Thursday evening, the Israeli army issued a new evacuation order for residents in Gaza’s Old City, al-Sabra, Tal al-Hawa, and the western al-Zaytoun neighborhoods.
In Khan Younis, Israeli forces bombed tents housing displaced Palestinians in Al-Mawasi and later destroyed the Fahmi Sharab Mosque in the Qizan al-Najjar area, while elsewhere in Gaza, four Palestinians were killed when Israeli forces bombed a displacement tent in the al-Ard al-Tayeba camp west of Khan Younis in the southern part of the blockaded Strip.
