Israeli forces occupy 3 vital water bodies in Syria
Israeli occupation forces continue to expand their occupation of Syrian territory.
Local Syrian sources told Al Mayadeen that Israeli occupation forces are expanding their infiltration of southern Syria, as forces advance 9 km eastward of the town of Sayda.
Three vital water bodies in southwestern Syria have also been taken over by Israeli occupation forces, including the Saharan al-Julan Dam. Several villages were also occupied by occupation forces, including Arab al-Sudi, Shabraq, Sihyun, and Nofa.
The buffer zone to the east of the occupied Golan Heights has also been completely occupied, as well as the mountaintop of Mount Hermon.
According to Israeli media outlets, Israeli occupation forces have occupied more than 370 km2 of Syrian territory in the past few days.
The land grab comes amid a series of aerial assaults on the country which destroyed the vast majority of strategic Syrian military capabilities, including the country's air defense array and missiles.
The Israeli regime launched these unprovoked attacks following the ousting of President Bashar al-Assad on December 8 by armed groups.
