Israeli occupation forces launched a series of raids and incursions across the occupied West Bank early Wednesday morning, detaining several Palestinian citizens and leading to confrontations in several areas.

The occupation forces stormed the Balata refugee camp and the Old City in Nablus, where violent confrontations erupted before they eventually withdrew under the Palestinian Resistance's heavy gunfire.

Similarly, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades – Nablus also confirmed that its fighters engaged in armed confrontations with the Israeli occupation forces, using automatic weapons.

Raids, detainment campaigns

Meanwhile, organizations concerned with detainees' affairs reported that Israeli occupation forces detained several Palestinians during raids across the occupied West Bank.

The organizations noted that the detainees were taken for interrogation by the Israeli security agencies under the pretext of involvement in armed resistance activities.

The raids and incursions were concentrated in various governorates across the West Bank, involving the storming and searching of dozens of homes, ransacking their contents, and subjecting residents to field interrogations after detaining them for hours.

The Israeli occupation forces also detained a woman after raiding her home in the village of Baqat al-Hatab, east of Qalqilya.

Additionally, heavily armed Israeli military vehicles stormed Beit Qad and Faqqua near Jenin, stationing across the entrances to both villages and along the connecting roads.

The occupation forces raided the home of detainee Ali al-Saybani in Faqqua, searching and vandalizing its contents. They were also targeted by an explosive device in the al-Badiya area of Jenin.

Israeli forces raided Palestinian homes in the town of Attil, north of Tulkarm, and conducted extensive search operations.

Moreover, Israeli military vehicles stormed the villages of Kafr Sur, Kafr Jammal, and Kafr Abbush, south of Tulkarm, deploying forces at the entrances and on the roads leading to these villages and surrounding areas, while carrying out extensive search operations.

In parallel with the war on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, Israeli occupation forces have escalated their military raids and operations in the occupied West Bank. According to the Commission of Detainees and Ex-Detainees Affairs, the total number of detainments now stands at 10,200 in the West Bank, including occupied al-Quds.
