Israeli intelligence warns against eroding deterrence: Israeli media
The warning was sent in a recent memo to the top brass and the key decision-makers in the Israeli occupation.
The Israeli occupation's military Intelligence Directorate's Research Division warned that over the past several months, "Israel" has seen its overall strategic situation worsen, "Israel" Hayom exclusively reported on Tuesday.
According to the newspaper, the warning was sent in a recent memo to the top brass and the key decision-makers in the Israeli occupation, including Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Security Minister Yoav Gallant.
"Israel" Hayom indicated that "this assessment may have been what prompted Gallant to issue the strong warning just several days ago, which resulted in his firing."
"The memo states that Israel's dangerous strategic posture can be attributed to several factors, with the main one being the weakness Israel's enemies have sensed due to the internal chasm over the judicial reform legislation," the newspaper said.
It highlighted that this view is shared by all members of the Axis of Resistance and has been clearly manifested in the series of meetings held by Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah with the Hamas and Palestinian Islamic Jihad movements officials.
The memo specifies that another reason for the Israeli weakness is "the daylight between Israel and the US," pointing out that "Iran is the main beneficiary of such a development because it believes that Israel will not be able to carry out an offensive against it or strike its nuclear program with US support."
According to the document, the "Palestinian Authority has also been encouraged by the US-Israel friction and it hopes to seize on it, particularly in international forums – from UN committees to The Hague."
In the same context, the memo viewed that the current rift between the Israeli occupation and the US has pushed "Israel's" friends in the region toward Iran, which has been noticeable in the restoration of diplomatic ties between Iran and Saudi Arabia, as well as the warm welcome given to Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian when arrived in Egypt.
Elsewhere, the memo concluded that "the immediate implication of the new situation is the erosion of Israeli deterrence," which would later affect "Israel's" overall security and diplomatic strength, as per "Israel" Hayom.
Last week, Israeli media reported that the Axis of Resistance is currently watching the events in the Israeli occupation entity with joy and is pleased with the sight of the crisis taking it by storm. Earlier, Sayyed Nasrallah said the occupation entity is witnessing an unprecedented crisis and a historic moment of weakness.
