According to a report published on India Today, India has deployed four of "Israel's" Heron drones, in order to surveil the movements of the Chinese military.
The report alleges that India increased its deployment of troops after April 2020, after "China attempted to alter the status quo along the Line of Actual Control."
According to the publication, the drones have been deployed in the LAC in Ladakh for surveillance.
The Israeli-made drones were acquired when the emergency financial powers were given to the defense forces by Prime Minister Narendra's Modi-led government. The statement revealed that the Indian army is also awaiting additional drones from the US.
"The Indian forces will soon acquire the Predator drones from the US, which will further boost the unmanned surveillance and strike capabilities of the country."
