Israeli Major Gen.: We Are Not Ready for a Multifront War
A major general in the Israeli occupation reserve forces warns that they are not prepared for any future war that may take place on multiple fronts.
Israeli media quoted Israeli reserve forces Major General, Yitzhak Brik, as saying that "the Israeli army is not ready for a multifront war," and that "Israel" is on the verge of losing it.
Brik, who has been criticizing the readiness of the Israeli occupation forces for years, said that his words were "not a prophecy of anger, this is the real truth," stressing that the next war will be internal.
He added that it would be an experience like no other in terms of the size of destruction and losses to be endured.
He pointed out that "in our current situation, in the next war, there will be no turning back unless we do our utmost to save ourselves from ourselves."
Brik expected that a "disaster" would occur in any coming war, which would cause massive losses and destroy infrastructure, wondering, "Why is it impossible to change direction; to establish a pre-war commission of inquiry to correct, deal with and prevent a catastrophe from which there is no return?"
The top military official considered that "it all begins and ends with a corrupt organizational, managerial and leadership culture in the IDF," explaining that it is impossible to build a "victorious army" on such dilapidated and crumbling foundations.
He added, "This is a war in which the home front and vital facilities will be attacked from Lebanon, Syria, and Gaza with thousands of precision missiles."
There were talks in "Israel" about how the occupation forces are conducting military maneuvers despite indications of the home front's fragility, the poor preparations for any future war, and the weaknesses that need years to overcome.
