The Israeli newspaper Maariv believes that the drone strike launched on Sunday, September 7, from Yemen, which successfully targeted the arrival hall at Ramon Airport located in Eilat (Umm al-Rashrash), could have "serious symbolic and visual repercussions," highlighting that it has a significant moral or symbolic impact on aviation traffic.
The paper explained that international media may falsely report that a different Israeli airport has come under attack, like that of the Ben Gurion Airport. The strike at Ramon Airport could prompt foreign airlines, some of which have only recently resumed flights to "Israel," to reconsider their decisions.
Maariv recalled what happened last May, after a missile fired by the Yemeni Armed Forces successfully struck Ben Gurion Airport. The Israeli authorities entered a race to persuade senior officials from foreign airlines to resume flights to the occupied Palestinian territories.
The newspaper noted that despite these efforts, progress remained snail's pace, and foreign airlines only began to return gradually after "Operation Rising Lion" against Iran.
The Israeli newspaper also stated that this decline in air traffic had a direct impact on settlers, as ticket prices surged due to the lack of competition and fewer available seats.

For his part, the military affairs correspondent for the Israeli Channel 10, Kan, revealed that investigations are being conducted within the Israeli military to determine how the Yemeni drone was not detected by the radar and warning systems of the occupation's Air Force and the Home Front Command.
Yemeni Armed Forces successfully target Israeli airport
The Yemeni Armed Forces launced a drone that breached later Israeli air defenses and successfully struck the Ramon Airport in the Naqab, southern occupied Palestine, detonating in the passenger terminal and resulting in injuries among settlers.
"Triumphing for the oppressed Palestinian people and their dear Mujahideen, and in response to the crimes of genocide and starvation perpetrated by the Zionist enemy against our people in the Gaza Strip," the military statement read by Brigadier General Yahya Saree read. "The UAV force of the Yemeni Armed Forces carried out a military operation with a large number of drones targeting numerous targets in the Negev, Umm al-Rashrash, Askalan, Asdod, and Yaffa regions."
Saree highlighted that the attacks were conducted as follows:
- A drone targeted Ramon Airport, successfully hitting its target and causing the airport to shut down and halt air traffic.
- Three drones targeted two sensitive military targets in the Naqab.
- A drone targeted a vital target in Askalan.
- A drone targeted Lydd Airport.
- And two drones targeted a vital target in the Asdod area.
The Yemeni Armed Forces affirm that they will escalate their military operations and will not back down from their support for Gaza, regardless of the consequences," Saree continued, and that Sanaa is developing its weapons to be more effective and efficient.
