Israeli media: Concerns of Yemeni threats
Following the Yemeni armed forces' threats to target aggression countries and their allies in retaliation to massacres, Israeli media discusses Tel Aviv's concerns on the eve of the Israeli president's visit to Expo Dubai.
Israeli media revealed discussions currently taking place between the US, Saudi Arabia, the UAE and the Israeli occupation on how to retaliate to the latest attacks from Yemen on the UAE.
Israeli daily Haaretz said that "Israel" has released multiple statements condemning the first attack on Abu Dhabi and expressed solidarity with the Emirates.
The daily also said that all of this is taking place as the two countries are strengthening their ties after the signing of the normalization agreement on September 15, 2020, as the two sides have had increasing joint visits and events.
Moreover, a visit by Israeli President Isaac Herzog to the UAE was announced for next week. Still, when the UAE is attacked, there's not much that "Israel" can do in terms of public help to preserve security.
The daily also noted that in the countries that have a relationship with the UAE, there is an impression that the attacks elevated pressure in Dubai and Abu Dhabi.
Ansar Allah's missile may reach "Eilat"
Israeli media also discussed the Ansar Allah's operational capabilities. Haaretz considered that some of Yemen's missiles and drones have an attack range that can reach "Eilat", despite the distance being over 2000 km.
The paper explored the Yemeni armed forces' threats of "Israel" being Ansar Allah's next target, noting that this would be highly unlikely to happen soon, but the security establishment is still taking the possibility into consideration.
Israeli Kan TV's correspondent considered that the timing is concerning, considering Herzog's first visit to the UAE after an invitation by Dubai's Governor Mohammad bin Rashed Al Maktoum, and highlighted that the visit will take place over two days, during which there will be a meeting with Abu Dhabi Crown Prince Mohammad bin Zayed Al Nahyan, to be followed with a visit to Dubai Expo during the second day.
Yemen's Armed Forces issued a new warning to the Emirates to target more locations in retaliation to the targeting of Yemeni civilians, including the Dubai Expo.
The Israeli concern followed a tweet by Yemeni armed forces spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Saree, the timing of whose tweet threatening the Dubai Expo raised talks in Israeli media, which said that the threat coincided with Herzog's upcoming visit.
