Palestinian Resistance factions are engaged in fierce battles against the Israeli occupation forces, particularly in the city of Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.

Al-Quds Brigades, the military wing of the Palestinian Islamic Jihad (PIJ) movement, shelled the city of "Ashkelon" and Gaza Envelope settlements with rocket barrages in response to the Israeli occupation's crimes against the Palestinian people.

The al-Quds Brigades also announced carrying out precision artillery and missile strikes on an Israeli military supply line and gathering, east of Khan Younis.

In the same area, the al-Mujahideen Brigades fighters targeted Israeli occupation forces' gatherings with mortar shells.

The Brigades shared footage of its operations against the Israeli occupation forces' positions and gatherings in the advancing axes in Khan Younis, using mortar shells and short-range rockets.

On its part, the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades announced that its Resistance fighters engaged in fierce confrontations with Israeli occupation troops and military vehicles in the advancing axes in Khan Younis, using appropriate weapons.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also shelled a gathering point of Israeli occupation soldiers and their military vehicles with mortar shells in the advancing axes in the east and center of Khan Younis.

In addition, the Brigades shelled the city of "Ashkelon" and the "Zikim" Israeli military site intensively with KN-103 rockets.

The military spokesperson for the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, Abu Jihad, confirmed that the Brigades carried out 16 combat missions in the past days, involving fierce gun battles and shelling of Israeli military gatherings with mortar shells and short-range rockets.

According to Abu Jihad, the Resistance fighters also targeted Israeli military vehicles with RP-G shells and Asef devices in advancing axes inside the Gaza Strip, resulting in casualties and injuries among the raiding Israeli occupation forces.

Al-Aqsa Flood marks the beginning of the end of 'Israel': Abu Obeida

Earlier on Friday, the spokesperson of the al-Qassam Brigades, Abu Obeida, affirmed that Operation Al-Aqsa Flood "marked the beginning of the end of the longest occupation in modern history, and will be a turning point in our nation's history."

In a voice recording, Abu Obeida praised the Al Aqsa Flood Operation, saying it did change and will change the face of the region, and will not subside, as it is crystallizing by the day to remove injustice and aggression from Al-Aqsa.

He said that Resistance fighters are inflicting unprecedented and heavy losses among the Israeli occupation forces' ranks, as well as ambushing its soldiers in elaborate traps.

"For the 5th month, the resistance in Gaza has been facing a Zionist-American war that is still powerless in the face of a people facing massacres but who refuse to be broken."

He added that for security reasons, Al-Qassam cut out certain scenes from its broadcasted operations that further demonstrate the Resistance's accomplishments, adding that its fighters are conducting quality and fatal operations, while the nation's resistive powers prevail.

Elsewhere, Abu Obeida noted that Al-Qassam fighters are confronting the invasion on all axes, in southern, northern, and central Gaza, employing various military tactics, and using the appropriate weapons, emphasizing that resistance against the Israeli enemy will resume until the very last Israeli soldier retreats from Gaza.

'Israel' lost 2,000 people on October 7, still claims victory: Israeli media

In a related context, the political commentator on the Israeli Channel 13, Eyal Berkovic, pointed out that Israeli officials constantly talk about victory but lie to the public.

"We should stop saying the word victory," Berkovic argued, recalling that 2,000 Israelis were killed on October 7.

"Where is the victory? Let anyone here say what the victory is," he added.

While the Palestinian Resistance factions in Gaza continue to confront the Israeli invasion of the Strip, the number of Israeli troops killed in the battles since October 7 now stands at 572, including more than 230 since the start of the ground invasion, as per the occupation's military that is seeking to conceal the extent of its losses by imposing strict censorship on the accurate figures of its casualties during the ongoing battles.

But footage published by the military media of the Palestinian Resistance factions indicates that the losses incurred are much greater than officially declared.
