Israeli official: Hezbollah will fire 2,000 rockets a day at "Israel" in the event of a war
The commander of the Israeli occupation forces Home Front Command, Uri Gordin, comments on the possibility of a war with Hezbollah and talks about the number of missiles that the latter will launch daily.
The commander of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) Home Front Command, Uri Gordin, confirmed that "Israel" does not seek war with Hezbollah, but it expects to be targeted with 2,000 missiles per day in the event of an armed conflict between the two sides.
In an interview with AFP, the Israeli general said, that "cities such as Tel Aviv and Ashdod (south)" were targeted with the "largest number of missiles " ever since the establishment of "Israel", in reference to the last Saif Al-Quds battle.
Gordin continued, "If there was a conflict or war with Hezbollah, we would expect there to be at least five times as many rockets fired each day from Lebanon into Israel."
Earlier, a reserve officer in the IOF, Danny Citrinobic, considered that the precision missiles in Hezbollah's possession are another proof of the failure of the Israeli deterrence against it.
"Israel" will have to face multi-fronts attacks in the next war
It is noteworthy that the Israeli National Security Research Institute (INSS) revealed, in a study, its concern about the next northern war.
The director of the center, General Udi Dekel, warned that in the next war, the Israeli Home Front will be attacked with thousands of missiles and projectiles, including dozens of precision missiles, as well as attack unmanned aircraft. Several military theatres would be involved in parallel: Lebanon, Syria, western Iraq, and perhaps also Gaza, said the Reserve General.
Walla: Hezbollah has 150,000 missiles
The Israeli Walla website stated, earlier, that according to estimates of the IOF, Hezbollah has 150,000 missiles of various types.
The Israeli website indicated that after 15 years of the "Second Lebanon War," Hezbollah is still growing. According to these estimates, the Hezbollah arsenal contains missiles with a range going from 15 to 700 km, Cruise missiles with a range of 200 km, and drones capable of reaching a range of 400 km.
The website added that in the next confrontation with Hezbollah, the Israeli army estimates that between 1,000 and 3,000 rockets will be fired per day.
