Palestinian Resistance fighters continue to confront Israeli occupation forces in the besieged Gaza Strip, despite the difficult circumstances experienced after 272 days of war.

The most intense fighting occurred in the eastern neighborhood of al-Shujaiya in Gaza City, where multiple factions engaged Israeli forces, utilizing a variety of weapons to do so.

Al-Shujaiya ambush leads to casualties among Israeli troops

As Hezbollah executes one of the largest scale rocket barrages and launches a swarm of drones that targeted more than 10 Israeli bases and barracks on the northern front, Israeli occupation forces struggle to maintain a foothold in the small neighborhood of al-Shujaiya.

Rescue helicopters were seen landing near the neighborhood to transport Israeli casualties on multiple occasions in the past two days, marking the potency of al-Shujaiya fighters' operations.

At least one Israeli soldier, from the Paratroopers Brigade's 101st Battalion was killed in confrontations in al-Shujiaya. In the central Gaza Strip, a fighter from the 3rd Alexandroni Brigade's 8101st Battalion was seriously injured.

Direct confrontations

Hamas' al-Qassam Brigades said that its fighters cooperated with al-Quds Brigades fighters to detonate an explosively formed penetrator (EFP), of the locally-produced Shawaz-type, into a Merkava 4 tank deployed in the neighborhood.

Another Merkava 4 tank was struck by an al-Yassin tandem rocket-propelled grenade (RPG) in the neighborhood by an al-Qassam fighter.

Moreover, al-Qassam fighters ambushed an Israeli force in the neighborhood, causing casualties among its members. Rescue helicopters were seen landing nearby to transport those killed or injured in the ambush.

On its part, al-Quds Brigades' Military Media Unit reported on several operations conducted by Resistance fighters who had returned from the frontlines.

It said that a group of its fighters detonated a Thaqeb-type barrel-type EFP into an Israeli military vehicle.

The Brigades also conducted a joint operation with al-Qassam fighters, in which another barrel-shaped improvised explosive device (IED) was set off into an Israeli Merkava 4 tank.

Indirect mortar, rocket shelling

Its fighters also fired 60 mm mortar rounds at groupings of Israeli troops in the neighborhood.

As for more recent operations conducted by the Palestinian Islamic Jihad's (PIJ) al-Quds Brigades, fighters launched a rocket attack on a field command and control site set up by Israeli occupation forces in the neighborhood.

The Brigades also participated in a joint operation with al-Mujahideen Brigades fighters, who fired a substantial number of mortar rounds at occupation forces in the area.

Al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades also fired mortar shells at occupation forces in the area.

Most importantly, al-Qassam Brigades fighters launched a salvo of locally-produced 114 mm rocket artillery shells and 107 rocket artillery shells toward the Nahal Oz military site to the east of Gaza City.

A tunnel ambush in Rafah kills, injures occupation forces

In the southernmost city of Rafah, al-Qassam Brigades fighters detonated explosives placed into the entrance of a tunnel, killing and injuring Israeli occupation forces who were lured toward the ambush.

In al-Sultan neighborhood, al-Qassam fighters shot a tandem RPG at an Israeli Merkvaa tank.

In the same area, al-Quds Brigades fighters sniped an Israeli soldier.

The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) fired an RPG at an Israeli Eitan-type armored personnel carrier (APC), dealing a direct hit to the APC.
