Israeli settler group sets up protest camp in North
Lobby 1701 announces, in collaboration with other Israeli organizations, the establishment of a protest camp in the North as settlers protest the government's neglect of their demands.
Lobby 1701, an Israeli association of northern settlers advocating for a buffer zone from the Lebanese border to the Litani River, announced in a post on X that it is teaming up with other Israeli organizations to establish the Galilee Displaced Persons Camp near Kibbutz Ammiad in northern "Israel".
The camp is a direct appeal to Israeli occupation Prime Minister Netanyahu's government to restore "security" in the North, as per the post.
According to the organizers, the initiative aims to highlight the urgent need for security measures in the region.

In another post on Telegram, Lobby 1701 expressed their frustration, "For seven months, we have bitten our lips, controlled ourselves, and patiently waited for security to be enforced in the North. But now, as communities collapse, families are destroyed, and businesses close their doors, it is time to wake up!"
The group emphasized that this camp is not just a one-time protest but a sustained effort that will continue until their security demands are addressed.

The big picture
Resolution 1701 was reached in the wake of the 2006 Israeli war on Lebanon. It calls for the full cessation of hostilities and the deployment of the Lebanese Army to Southern Lebanon.
Ever since the aftermath of the 2006 war, "Israel" has incessantly violated the Resolution, violating Lebanese airspace with their warplanes.
Since the second day following Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, the Resistance in Lebanon, led by Hezbollah, has been targeting military sites and gatherings of the Israeli occupation forces along the blue line, in solidarity with the Palestinian Resistance and in response to the ongoing aggression by the occupation against Lebanon.
Sayyed Nasrallah to Israelis: To return North, end war on Gaza
Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah affirmed on Monday that the Lebanese front continues, in various forms and methods, its operations in support of the Resistance in the Gaza Strip and imposes its own rules of engagement.
In a speech delivered on the eighth anniversary of the martyrdom of Commander Mustafa Badreddine, Sayyed Nasrallah underlined that the continuation of the Lebanese Resistance's operations in support of the Gaza front is "a settled matter not open for discussion."
He stressed that the entire world "has accepted this fact," adding that this is why the Americans conveyed to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu that there is no solution for the Northern front without a ceasefire in Gaza.
The Resistance leader addressed the settlers in northern occupied Palestine who are eager to return to their settlements, calling on them to pressure their government to end the aggression on the Gaza Strip if they wish to return.
