Israeli strike closes key Lebanon-Syria evacuation route
The Israeli occupation escalates its brutal aggression against Lebanon, targeting the Bekaa Valley, Baalbek-Hermel, the South, the southern suburb of Beirut, and the road connecting the Lebanese-Syrian border at the Masnaa and Jdeidet Yabous crossings.
The Israeli occupation persists in its brutal and barbaric aggression against Lebanon, launching assaults on the Bekaa Valley, Baalbek-Hermel, the South, and the southern suburbs of Beirut. This morning, the violence escalated, reaching the Lebanese-Syrian border.
In the latest strikes, Israeli warplanes targeted the road connecting the Masnaa and Jdeidet Yabous border crossings with two missiles, as reported by Al Mayadeen's correspondent.
This resulted in the suspension of traffic in both directions between Syria and Lebanon.
Caretaker Transport Minister, Ali Hamieh, informed Reuters that an Israeli strike hit near Lebanon's Masnaa border crossing with Syria, cutting off a road used by hundreds of thousands of people to flee Israeli bombardments in recent days.
Simultaneously, Israeli airstrikes resumed across various towns in the Bekaa Valley in eastern Lebanon, systematically targeting shops and civilian homes. Our correspondent reported that the raids focused on the outskirts of Baalbek and extended to the towns of Bodai, Shmistar, Hawsh Safiyeh, and others.

Intense bombings in Southern Suburb of Beirut
This follows a night of intense violence in the Southern Suburb of Beirut, where Israeli warplanes conducted raids using numerous vacuum and bunker-busting bombs at dawn. The explosions were reported to be louder than the sound of the aircraft striking the building where Hezbollah Secretary-General Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah was martyred last Friday.
