"Israel's" secret nuclear program is a threat to peace: top Iranian diplomat
Ghaebi stressed that Israeli threats against Iran are a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter.
Iran’s permanent representative to the Vienna-based International Organizations Mohammad Reza Ghaebi reacted to the fake claims made by the Israeli representative at the IAEA Board of Governors' meeting on the matter of implementation of agency safeguards in Iran by bringing up "Israel's" secret nuclear program, which poses a serious and continuous threat to regional peace and security.
The international community has repeatedly stressed the necessity for the Israelis to join the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty (NPT) in addition to placing "Israel's" nuclear facilities under comprehensive IAEA standards.
However, "Israel" did not join the NPT and continued to develop its military nuclear program.
The Israeli regime's secret nuclear program, as said by Ghaebi, is not under any supervision by an international organization and exploits this lack of surveillance to develop and accumulate nuclear weapons while on the side committing various crimes internationally. The Israelis threaten NPT member-states and attack nuclear facilities dedicated to peaceful purposes, Ghaebi added.
Ghaebi stressed that Israeli threats against Iran are a clear violation of international law and the UN Charter.
