BREAKING
Sheikh Qassem: Our supporters make up more than half of Lebanon's population, and all of these people are united under the banner of protecting Lebanon, its Resistance, its people, and its integrity.
Sheikh Qassem: There will be no phased handing in of our arms. [The Israelis] must first enact the agreement before we start talking about a defensive strategy.
Sheikh Qassem: Be brave in the face of foreign pressures, and we will be by your side in this stance.
Sheikh Qassem: Stripping us of our arms is like stripping us of our very soul, and this will prompt us to show them our might.
Sheikh Qassem: We will not abandon our arms, for they gave us dignity; we will not abandon our arms, for they protect us against our enemy.
Sheikh Qassem: The US efforts we are seeing are aimed at sabotaging Lebanon and constitute a call for sedition.
Sheikh Qassem: If you truly want to establish sovereignty and work for Lebanon’s interests, then stop the aggression.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States, which is meddling in Lebanon, is not trustworthy but rather poses a danger to it.
Sheikh Qassem: The United States is preventing the weapons that protect the homeland.
Sheikh Qassem: The government’s latest decision [on the disarmament of the Resistance] is non-charter-based, and if the government continues down this path, it is not faithful to Lebanon’s sovereignty.

Italy's neo-fascist Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni on Thursday congratulated Benjamin Netanyahu on his victory in the Israeli elections.

"Congratulations-Mazel Tov to @netanyahu for the electoral success," Meloni said on Twitter. "Ready to strengthen our friendship and our bilateral relations, to better face our common challenges."

Netanyahu, along with his "right-wing" coalition, has secured a clear victory and a majority in the Knesset after elections that kicked off two days ago, according to the Israeli electoral commission.

Netanyahu will most likely be the one distributing prominent roles for the co-leaders of a far-right alliance called Religious Zionism.

Meloni's Brothers of Italy party and its right-wing allies won the general elections in Italy last month, her victory marked the first of a neo-fascist since WW1 in Itay.

Lapid concedes defeat to Netanyahu

Israeli Prime Minister Yair Lapid on Thursday conceded defeat to Benjamin Netanyahu in this week's election, paving the way for the Israeli opposition leader to come back to power.

Lapid felicitated Netanyahu and asked his staff to prepare an organized transition of power, his office said.

"[...] Israel comes before any political consideration," Lapid said. "I wish Netanyahu success."

After a near-final vote count, Lapid revealed in an announcement that Netanyahu was securing a majority in the Knesset with his allies, and final results were expected later Thursday.

It is expected that the former prime minister will form the most right-wing government since the declaration of "Israel" upon his assumption of power.

"Israel" held on Tuesday its fifth election in four years, a prolonged political crisis that saw voters divided over Netanyahu's fitness to serve while on trial for corruption.
