Jaafar to Al Mayadeen: Fatah Alliance Worried About Plans Set for PMF
In an exclusive interview for Al Mayadeen, a Member of the State of Law Coalition in Iraq Jassim Mohammed Jaafar said “Electoral fraud is possible”.
A Member of the State of Law Coalition in Iraq Jassim Mohammed Jaafar told Al Mayadeen that the issue of electronic fraud, of which we witnessed several instances in this election, is akin to what happened in Kirkuk province in 2018.
In an exclusive interview for Al-Mayadeen, Jaafar explained that "at that time, our suspicions were proven correct, and the vote recounting took place resulting in dissimilar numbers," adding “we are waiting for the results of 3100 boxes”.

Commenting on Al-Fatah Alliance’s rejection of preliminary results, the Iraqi official stressed that "the Al-Fatah Alliance is afraid of what is being prepared for the Popular Mobilization Forces (PMF), which is understandable given that a party, which has the majority of seats in Parliament, has openly advocated merging PMF into the security forces."
On its account, the Iraqi Resistance Coordination Committee affirmed that the Iraqi resistance, which derives its legitimacy from jurist fatwas and popular will, is fully prepared to defend the state and the political process in order to preserve the dignity of the people and Iraq's sovereignty."
