Jenin Resistance factions sow destruction among Israeli forces
The Resistance factions in Jenin are fiercely confronting the invading Israeli forces as military operations are still ongoing in the city's refugee camp.
The Palestinian resistance in the West Bank continues its operations today, Friday, as Israeli forces escalate their aggression across various areas and refugee camps.
The al-Quds Brigades – Jenin Battalion announced that its fighters successfully detonated a Sijjeel explosive device against Israeli infantry forces near the Damaj axis.
The battalion confirmed ongoing confrontations with the invading infantry and military vehicles in the area, employing intense barrages of gunfire and explosive devices and reporting confirmed injuries among Israeli forces.
Additionally, resistance fighters detonated a KJ37 explosive device targeting an Israeli armored personnel carrier in the military axis, disabling it. They continued to target Israeli reinforcements with gunfire, achieving further confirmed casualties.
A second explosive device of the same type was used by the fighters to strike Israeli military reinforcements near the Jalbouni axis.
In related developments, an Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that two Palestinians were killed in an Israeli airstrike targeting a vehicle in the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin. The correspondent also confirmed the arrest of four young men during an Israeli incursion into the Jabal Abu Dhahir area of Jenin.
Israeli forces conducted raids on Palestinian homes in Jenin city and its refugee camp, including the home of imprisoned leader Zakaria Zubeidi. During the operation, Zubeidi's son and daughter were arrested. Meanwhile, confrontations erupted in the town of Burin, south of Nablus, as Israeli forces stormed the area.
'Time has come for West Bank'
Israeli drones fitted with loudspeakers ordered people to leave their homes in Jenin on Thursday, residents said, as the military demolished several houses during the third day of a major operation in the West Bank city.
Israeli officials said the operations targeted Resistance groups in the refugee camp adjacent to the city. "We need to be prepared to continue in the Jenin camp that will bring it to a different place," Lieutenant General Herzi Halevi, head of the Israeli occupation forces, said in a statement.
Armored bulldozers have torn up roads, and hundreds of residents have fled their homes in the camp after being ordered to evacuate.
"Yesterday, we did not want to leave; we were at home," said 16-year-old Hussam Saadi. "Today, they sent down a drone to our neighborhood, telling us to leave the camp and that they will blow it up."
The raid, the third major operation by the Israeli military in Jenin in less than two years, has drawn international concern. France and Jordan have issued warnings against further escalation in the West Bank, an area that has experienced increased violence since the onset of the war in Gaza.
An Al Mayadeen correspondent reported that the head of the Israeli Shin Bet security agency and the chief of staff conducted an evaluation of the situation in Jenin amid intensified Israeli aggression. The head of Shin Bet was quoted as saying, "The time for the West Bank has come."
