Jordan Reshuffles Government
The Jordanian King has approved a Cabinet reshuffle, which includes the entry of two women in the government.
Jordanian Prime Minister, Bisher Al-Khasawneh completed his fourth cabinet reshuffle on Monday, which included nine ministers: industry, trade, media, energy, wealth, and mineral, labor, and legal affairs.
According to the Jordanian Royal Court, the Jordanian King approved the modification, and the new ministers took the legal oath before the King.
The change comes a week after the Royal Committee to Modernize the Political System delivered its recommendations to Jordan's King. In parallel with the acceptance of 22 recommendations as constitutional changes under the two bills, which will be presented to Parliament, it has drafted new legislation for elections in the nation and a new draft law for parties.
According to the Jordan News Agency, (Petra) Al-Khasawneh briefed ministers on the features of the reshuffle, explaining it was of "economic nature", revealing the creation of a Ministry of Investment, aiming to unify investment references and facilitating procedures for investors.
