Journalist: US embassy threatens Albanian police over MKO trafficking report
Members of the infamous MKO terrorist group are able to operate in the United States and Europe, and have even held large gatherings in front of prominent American, European, and Saudi authorities.
Investigative journalist Olsi Jazexhi stated that Albanian police head Gledis Nano "has gone mad" over a dossier delivered to the US embassy in Albania. The dossier alleges that the anti-Iran Mujahedin-Khalq Organization (MKO) intended to smuggle over 400 members to France.
Albanian media reported on Thursday that the country's police had notified the US embassy that members of the MKO terrorist group are involved in a variety of illegal operations across Europe, including human trafficking, and that they may have ties with ISIS.
One of the sources that covered the story, Gazeta Shqiptarja, then withdrew the report and replaced it with a statement from the police alleging that the leaked report was a "false document."
Why the US is blackmailing the police
The US embassy is blackmailing the police, according to Jazexhi, an Albanian historian and social activist.
"Albanian Chief Police Gledis Nano, who most likely wrote the report to @USEmbassyTirana has gone mad," he tweeted after revealing that the MKO had compelled Gazeta Shqiptarja to withdraw the report.
“The letter was sent to Gazeta Shqiptarja, probably by a police insider. Shqiptarja removed the article but does not deny its authenticity,” he added.

Furthermore, Jazexhi also stressed that the Albanian police chief was promoted to his position by the US embassy in Tirana after serving as a spy for the Albanian counterterrorism police, where he jailed dozens of Albanian Muslims, expelled the Iranian ambassador from Albania, and served loyally to the US and “Israel” rather than his own government.
“Gledis Nano has received training in US and 'Israel'. A major policy objective of the US in Albania in the past years has been to crush the Muslim community in the country and restrain its connections with the Muslim world: in particular Turkey and Iran,” he said.
Security services gone "mad"
According to Jazexhi, Albanian authorities have not refuted that top MKO leaders have been arrested for drugs smuggling and refugee trafficking to Europe.
The journalist also said that the MKO terrorist group's activities in Greece and Italy have driven security services "mad."
“In August 2020, when Interior Minister Sander Lleshaj wanted to illegally expel MKO defector Ehsan Bidi to Greece – on orders of Maryam Rajavi and probably kill him in the border, Greek embassy in Tirana & its Ministry of Interior were put in high alert!”
He highlighted that the MKO has ties to the Afghan mafia and has exploited Athens to transport its members into France.
"Hadi Sani Khani was smuggled to France via Athens in February 2021 by Mehdi Abrichamchi," he added.
The Italian government has also gone mad over the MKO's actions, according to Jazexhi, with the Italian secret service being "horrified" of the group's activities in the Adriatic, despite the MKO's hiring of Italian politicians such as Giulio Terzi to lobby on its behalf.

In the same context, two members of the MKO were detained for drug smuggling, human trafficking, and money laundering in December, according to Albanian news outlet Exit News.
MKO free to operate in the US
Members of the infamous MKO terrorist group are able to operate in the United States and Europe, and have even held large gatherings in front of prominent American, European, and Saudi authorities.
Unsurprisingly, the MKO has been deliberately portrayed as an "Iranian opposition group" by Western media outlets.
