Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, speaking at a campaign in La Victoria, Aragua, proclaimed that the Venezuelan people, in the upcoming elections, will decide on the country's fate as they will choose between war and peace, vowing that those who harmed Venezuela will not return.

"On July 28, we will choose between war or peace, violent protest or tranquility, national project or colony, democracy or fascism. Are you ready? I am ready, I have love for Venezuela, I have experience, and I am not afraid of anything, not even the devil. God is with us, the people are with us," proclaimed Maduro.

The President assured that Venezuelans will not merely make an electoral choice, but a decision that will shape their future "over the next 50 years," stressing that "our people is on the right path. They defend Venezuela and are heading towards a great victory of life and hope."

Referring to the Venezuelan far-right, the Bolivarian leader expressed his belief that the people will not permit those who have harmed the country to regain power.

Maduro emphasized, "We fight for the right to peace and for the future for our boys and girls. Who harmed Venezuela? Who called for invasion and shortages? The oligarchy! And we will not let them come back!," adding, "I am sure that no one will hand over our homeland to foreigners or bring fascism to Venezuela."

Referring to the Venezuelan far-right, the Bolivarian leader expressed his confidence that the people will not allow those who harmed the country to return to power.

"I am sure that no one will hand over our homeland to foreigners or bring fascism to Venezuela,” Maduro said at his campaign event in La Victoria town, as reported by TeleSUR.

Venezuela far-right requested Maduro's assassination: Colombian ACSN

A Colombian paramilitary group announced, on July 5, in a video, that Venezuela's far-right reached out to them requesting they assassinate Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro.

The Colombian paramilitary group said Venezuela's right-wing has asked for 1,000 armed men to enter Venezuela and start a civil war.

Following this, Maduro asked the Venezuelan Attorney General to investigate the released footage, describing it as a "very dangerous video."

During the Independence Day celebration on Friday, Maduro said, "Venezuela will never be a military base for any empire" and pledged to resist any efforts to change the country's government.

He declared, "I swear before you, soldiers of my country, I swear before you, people of Venezuela, that the baton of the Supreme Commander of the Bolivarian National Armed Forces, which I have carried with patriotism and courage, will remain in safe hands for the years to come, and will never fall into the hands of an oligarchy, puppets or treason. I swear that Venezuela will never be a military base for any empire in our land."

This statement comes on the eve of the presidential elections scheduled for July 28 in Venezuela. Twelve candidates are competing, backed by over 30 political parties, including the incumbent president Maduro, nominated by his ruling party for a third consecutive term.
