Kais Saied: Government Will be Announced Within the Next Few Hours
Saied's statement came after meeting the Prime Minister-designate, Najla Bouden.
Tunisian President Kais Saied confirmed that the government will be formed in the coming hours.
Saied accused certain parties of conspiring against the country by attracting foreign interference, stressing that Tunisia is not “under the tutelage of anyone.”
The president met with Najla Bouden, the Prime Minister-designate, who briefed him on the progress of forming the government.
Sources have previously divulged to Al Mayadeen that "the new government will be announced within the next few hours."
On the other hand, the Tunisian Workers' Party organized a vigil yesterday in front of the municipal theater in the capital to reject President Saied's exceptional measures, demanding their repealing.
In contrast, the Tunisian president commented on the demonstrations supporting him in the center of the capital and other cities, as he boasted that his approximate 1.8 million supporters showed up “with no briberies.”
Saied stressed that he will never back down from the measures he has taken, and will not deal with those who "sold their homelands," declaring that "those who want to abuse the Tunisian people will be sternly faced, and will pay a heavy price.”
