The spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Iran, Nasser Kanaani, asserted on Monday that Iran does not command the Resistance factions in the region nor does it have any forces or proxies under its direction, as opposed to the United States which governs its allies.

He also clarified that accusing Iran of seizing an Israeli ship crossing the Red Sea is only an attempt to conceal the Israeli occupation's current defeat, further adding that there is no truth to these lies.

He additionally warned the United States once again that if it continues to support the ongoing genocide against Gaza and Palestinians, then a regional confrontation must be expected.

Kanaani proceeded to state that if the constant aggression on Gaza is not suspended, then Resistance forces and the people in the region will not remain silent, warning the United States and "Israel" once again with a reaction that would not be limited to the region, as there has been a global outrage condemning the continuous US-sponsored aggression in Gaza.

Kanaani: Netanyahu Cannot Fight This War

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' spokesperson noted that the Israeli occupation has committed numerous crimes against humanity in Gaza, and should be prosecuted by the International Criminal Court (ICC).

When asked if Israeli forces can defeat Hamas, Kanaani affirmed that this entity has proven that it is only capable of shedding the blood of innocents, committing ethnic cleansing, and bombing schools and hospitals, but has proven incapable of confronting Resistance forces in the region. He further added that the occupation and the United States have not yet learned from their past mistakes in the region.

Kanaani reaffirmed that Netanyahu cannot fight this war and will not bring peace, and that he is responsible for all the crimes being committed.

"On World Children's Day," he added, "we must mourn the loss of 5,000 children in Gaza and thousands of others who have lost their families and are forced to live under difficult, inhumane circumstances as a result of the barbaric Israeli aggression on Gaza."

Two days prior, Iran's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, confirmed that the fate of the Israeli war on Gaza "will be determined by the factions of the Resistance".

He added that "Israel" represents the United States by proxy, however, we do not have any proxies to represent us in the region".
