Lapid accuses Netanyahu of trying to incite chaos against Gallant & co
Commenting on the video of an Israeli soldier calling for an uprising against government officials, Yair Lapid speculates that it was a deliberate plot by Benjamin Netanyahu.
The leader of the opposition in the Israeli occupation government, Yair Lapid, said that the video of the masked soldier that called for an uprise against Security Minister Yoav Gallant and Chief of Staff HJerzi Halevi was not a coincidence, affirming that Benjamin Netanyahu's son, Yair Netanyahu, and his close associate, journalist Yinon Magal, were the ones who published it.
According to Lapid, this indicates that the Prime Minister's office deliberately published the video, which signifies an open call for chaos.
On May 24, a masked Israeli soldier called for a "revolution against Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi and Security Minister Yoav Gallant," adding "We will only listen to the Prime Minister." He continued to address Gallant, saying "Yoav Gallant, you cannot win the war, let us all listen to one leader."
Israeli media then revealed that the soldier was an activist in the Israeli Likud party.
No chance of ‘complete victory’ in Gaza: Ex-Israeli PM Ehud Olmert
While divisions in government only grow deeper, former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Olmert has ruled out a likelihood of a "complete victory" for "Israel" in Gaza.
Speaking with Israeli Kan TV on May 25, Olmert said that there is no chance "to achieve complete victory or [enable] complete destruction of Hamas."
He labeled this war as a "stalling war", adding that it "does not serve any interest for Israel, but rather serves Netanyahu and some extremist members of his government."
Addressing the Israeli ground invasion in Rafah, labeled by the Israeli occupation as a "military operation", Olmert said, "The military operation in Rafah must be stopped."
