Lapid says Netanyahu 'coward and a failure' over war on Gaza
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid takes yet another jab at Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu over his failures.
Israeli opposition leader Yair Lapid declared Monday that the Israeli occupation's military, political, and internal strength is "fracturing and collapsing."
Speaking in the Knesset, Lapid emphasized that Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is aware of this reality and fears it, which is why he is "preventing the formation of an official investigation committee."
Lapid did not hold back in his criticism, asserting that "Netanyahu is not a victim, but a coward and a failure," adding that the premier "cares only about himself and his own interests."
A few days ago, Israeli Army Radio quoted Lapid as saying, "Israel needs to stop the war, make a deal, and bring back the captives."
He further stressed that "Israel has always been against long wars, as the army relies on reserve forces, which are not suited for this type of warfare."
Moreover, in its Sunday editorial titled "The Moment of Public Test," Israeli newspaper Haaretz revealed that a serious prisoner exchange deal is currently on the table in "Israel".
