Largest Israeli power firm to launch drills for Hezbollah war scenario
The drills will take place over five days and will witness practice to restore power during the war simulation.
"Israel's" top power provider, Israel Electric Corporation (IEC), is scheduled to conduct unprecedented wide-scall drills in preparations for a potential war with Hezbollah, Israeli media reported.
Last month, Shaul Goldstein, the CEO of Noga, the Electricity System Management Company, warned that the Lebanese Resistance could easily knock out "Israel's" electricity grid, plunging the occupation entity into darkness.
"Suppose a missile hits a power facility, causing a power outage for one hour, two hours, three hours, 24 hours, 48 hours, 72 hours, and so on. What will happen to Israel in such a situation? The bottom line is that after 72 hours, life in Israel would be impossible," he said then.
The IEC said the drills would start on Sunday and end on Thursday, adding that the main objective is to practice restoring power in case a war erupts with Hezbollah. It also confirmed that its headquarters north of Tel Aviv would be the center of operations.

The exercise will simulate scenarios of damage to network substations and power outages in large areas.
During the exercise, convoys of heavy trucks carrying large transformers, specially purchased for extreme scenarios, will move on designated roads, transferring their payloads to four secret sites in northern occupied Palestine to restore electricity.
This comes after Goldstein received heavy criticism over his remarks from the director general of IEC, who described his statement as "irresponsible, detached from reality, and causing unnecessary panic among the public."
In March, Israeli channel Kan 11's website released a report, unveiling recordings of the Israeli Minister of Health, cautioning about an unprecedented scenario of an extended power outage across all regions, a situation never before experienced by "Israel".

The report stated that this scenario for the Israeli Emergency Authority is "a very detailed overview of what could happen in Israel if an all-out war broke out on the northern front with Lebanon."
The news channel said at the time that "Israel" is preparing for multiple power outages affecting over 60% of its regions, each lasting approximately 48 hours, while local power disruptions are anticipated to last up to three weeks.
Hezbollah has repeatedly warned the occupation against launching aggression on Lebanon, even one with a "limited scale".
The leader of the Lebanese Resistance, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, declared on several occasions that, if an Israeli war was imposed on the country, Hezbollah would fight with "no restraints or limits."
