Al Mayadeen sources reported that Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, is planning to visit Saudi Arabia in the coming period.
Earlier on Saturday, Larijani urged the creation of a "joint operations room" among Islamic states to confront what he described as "the madness of the [Israeli] entity." Writing on the social platform X, he warned that symbolic meetings filled with speeches but lacking practical outcomes would only embolden "Israel."
He added that even a modest step such as military or intelligence coordination would be enough to unsettle "Israel's" patrons, forcing them to scramble under lofty pretexts like "world peace" or even a "Nobel Prize," a pointed remark aimed at Western powers' tendency to cloak strategic recalibrations in humanitarian or reputational language.

Larijani's comments come as Qatar reels from an unprecedented Israeli strike on its territory. The attack, reportedly aimed at Hamas officials based in Doha, killed several aides and a Qatari officer but failed to eliminate senior leaders.
The attack has triggered a diplomatic crisis, with questions swirling over whether the United States, Qatar's main security partner and beneficiary of trillions in pledged Qatari investments, had foreknowledge or even tacitly approved the strike.
Analysts say such a scenario would mark a serious breach of trust, especially given Washington's longstanding reliance on Al Udeid Air Base and its public celebration of vast Qatari economic commitments.
Against this backdrop, Qatar's state news agency announced that Doha will host an emergency Arab-Islamic summit next Sunday and Monday to address the implications of the Israeli attack and explore possible collective responses.
