Lebanese Presidency: Border demarcation information state secrets
The Lebanese Presidency reveals that it received a request from the legal department of the "People Want to Reform the System" group for information on negotiations on the demarcation of the border in South Lebanon.
The Lebanese Presidency asserted on Monday that any information on the border demarcation in South Lebanon is part of the country's state secrets.
The Lebanese Presidency's Twitter account revealed that it received a request from the legal division in "The People Want to Reform the System" regarding the information on the negotiations currently taking place for the demarcation of Lebanon's southern maritime border.
The Lebanese Presidency said that the information regarding the negotiations are part of Lebanon's state defense secrets, and cannot be divulged by law.

The presidency also said that the indirect negotiations are shrouded with secrecy to preserve national security and prevent the [Israeli] enemy from furthering its position against Lebanon.
US envoy Amos Hochstein met with senior Lebanese officials early in February, with new proposals to demarcate the border with occupied Palestine.
