Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro salutes Al Mayadeen TV and thanks its chairman, Ghassan Ben Jeddo, for the exclusive interview he had with him.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro thanked Ghassan Ben Jeddou, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Al Mayadeen Network, for the "special dialogue" they had, which was was aired on Sunday.
Maduro's Twitter account tweeted, "I thank the Arab journalist, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, for the special dialogue we had and for allowing me to carry my message of love and solidarity to our Muslim brothers. I reiterate my call for you to come and invest in Venezuela, the country of opportunities."

Maduro added, "After 2 years in the Pandemic, I finally received the beautiful "International Person of the Year" award for 2019, awarded by the television channel, Al Mayadeen. Let us continue to be faithful defenders of the just causes for the construction of a better world. Thanks a lot!

Maduro had confirmed, in an exclusive interview with Al Mayadeen, his adherence to the Palestinian cause, and he also talked about relations with some countries, including Iran and Syria.
Maduro stressed that Palestine deserves the steadfast and courageous support of the rulers of the whole world, saying that, "Palestine is crying out for help; Palestine is asking for your support; crimes are committed against it every day, and its youth are killed every day."

With regard to the Syrian issue, the Venezuelan president said that Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is "a brave man, a hero and a fighter, and he has a beautiful family and wonderful people," adding that "(Syria) was destined to endure a criminal terrorist war."
As for Iran, Maduro expressed his admiration for the Iranian leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, describing him as a man of great wisdom and great intelligence.
He pointed out that the former Quds Force commander, the martyr Qassem Soleimani, "was a smiley, optimistic man, and I thank God forever meeting him," noting that "Soleimani combated terrorism and the brutal terrorist criminals who attacked the peoples of the Axis of resistance. He was a brave man."
Al Mayadeen network had chosen the Venezuelan president to be the "International Person of the Year" for 2019, against the background of his stances towards his country and its foreign policies, but it was not possible to hand him the award due to the Coronavirus epidemic.
