Letter from captive movement figure to Al Mayadeen over 'The Heroes'
One of the commanders of the captive movement in the Israeli occupation's prisons sends a message to Al Mayadeen and its CEO over "The Heroes".
One of the leading figures of the Palestinian captive movement in the Israeli occupation's prisons sent a letter to Al Mayadeen and its CEO, Ghassan Ben Jeddou, thanking both for broadcasting "The Heroes", the series that revealed the full story of how six Palestinian prisoners liberated themselves from Gilboa Prison.
The letter:
Our dear brother, Ghassan,
May peace be upon you from here, from captivity, where occupied Palestine is as beautiful and elegant as ever...
On September 29, at 9 pm, we in the Palestinian captive movement announced general mobilization. However, this time, the general mobilization was not to deter new aggression waged against us by the occupation's prison administration, the aggression that did not stop miring us for a second in the detention centers and prisons, especially after Operation Freedom Tunnel, which exposed the occupation's weaknesses to the world. The general mobilization was for you, Ghassan. To Al Mayadeen and its honest voice and loyalty. To the message of resistance that stands with the causes of the Arab World, at whose heart is the Palestinian cause, with all of its historical and cultural dimensions.
We started listening to "The Heroes" as it aired, and we almost felt, with our fingertips, the hard work, mastery, and sincerity that went into it. We felt the narration that has been cast in a mold of love and care and seeing ourselves through your voice and the voices of your show's guests, on my life, is an occurrence that brings nothing but joy to our hearts.
Therefore, before anything, and after everything, we thank you a thousand times. You and Al Mayadeen and all the hardworking sisters and brothers working in this resisting media outlet that defends the honor of the Arab World. What you've done cannot be underestimated.
