Macron decision to send Kiev SCALP missiles incomprehensible: Le Pen
Macron announced that France will supply Ukraine with SCALP missiles, which are equivalent to the UK's Storm Shadows.
The Former president of the French right-wing National Rally party and the current chairwoman of its parliamentary faction, Marine Le Pen, told Le Figaro on Thursday it was "irresponsible" of French President Emmanuel Macron to pledge long-range missiles to Ukraine.
"I do not understand why Emmanuel Macron is not integrally focused on organizing a conference for peace to put an end to this war," Le Pen was quoted as saying by the daily.

As she spoke to reporters on Wednesday in the city of Beauvais, she said that a strike "on a third country can trigger a third world war … We do not know how a third country would react if it were hit by a weapon supplied by France."

The decision was met with sharp reactions from both sides of the political axis, with Republicans slamming the move as escalatory, while the Left warned of a possible conflict with Russia.
