Maduro: US-backed Juan Guaidó coup attempt failed
Maduro hopes for a better future and for the rebirth of a strong socialist Venezuela.
Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro emphasized the Venezuelan people's spirit of resistance in the face of US arrogance and the compliance of some local and regional right-wing extremists.
Maduro addressed the nation from the Miraflores Palace during the celebration of the 64th anniversary of the 1958 Venezuelan revolution, stressing that the US-backed Juan Guaidó coup attempt in 2019 has failed.

It is worth mentioning that Guaidó declared himself interim president in January, 2019.
Maduro has also called for accelerating the transition period, hoping for a better future and for the rebirth of a strong socialist Venezuela.
Earlier, Maduro said, in an interview for Al Mayadeen, that the Venezuelan people resisted fierce attacks launched by US imperialism and its allies.
He also noted that 2021 was the first year in which Venezuela registered economic growth since “the beginning of the criminal imperialist US sanctions,” adding that this growth was the result of Venezuela’s economy which produces food, goods, products, and services. The country has witnessed growth in its industries, trade, and its domestic market as a result of the Venezuelans' continued effort.
