Marandi reveals to Al Mayadeen Iran's primary issue in Vienna Talks
The advisor to the Iranian delegation in the Vienna Talks to revive the JCPOA, Mohammad Marandi, says the US is attempting to impose itself as the world's police.
The advisor to the Iranian delegation in the Vienna Talks, Dr. Mohammad Marandi, said that money laundering and oil smuggling have nothing to do with Iran; the United States is trying to impose itself as the world's police, and that Iran's cargo, which was seized in Greece, needs to be returned.
Marandi told Al Mayadeen that the seized cargo of Iranian oil is being called a theft in Tehran.
He noted that he believes the US and Europe to be in need of the nuclear deal, and oil, adding that the issue is not whether or not the IRGC remains on the terror list, but that guarantees are received (by Iran) that Washington will remain in the deal.

The advisor also clarified that the main issue for Iran in Vienna is that guarantees are made that the United States does not leave the deal again, and that what concerns Iran is that guarantees are given for a sustainable deal, that investments can be made securely, and that sanctions be removed.
Marandi added that when the EU's coordinator came to Tehran, he presented some good ideas, and Iran as well, gave some good ideas of its own.
