In a statement issued yesterday, Palestinian factions called for the launch of a general strike and urged Arab nations to take "decisive and immediate" action in response to the assassination of Al-Arouri and several of his comrades by Israeli forces.
The statement further affirmed that the "resistance continues," calling for "national mourning, a general strike, and revolutionary action in all arenas and fronts."
The statement considered the targeting of al-Arouri in Lebanon and its capital city Beirut as an "aggression against the entire Arab and Islamic world, not only Lebanon and Palestine. This requires a decisive and immediate action on part of Arab countries and their free people in response to Israeli terrorism."
