More than 70 mass demonstrations in Yemen in support of Palestine
More than 70 mass demonstrations took place in the Yemeni governorates of Saada, Raymah, and Marib in support of the Palestinian people and the Gaza Strip for the 48th consecutive week.
Yemen witnessed over 70 mass demonstrations on Friday across the governorates of Saada, Raymah, and Marib, as well as in multiple districts of Amran, Ibb, Taiz, Hajjah, Dhamar, and al-Jawf.
These demonstrations are being held in solidarity with the Palestinian people and their Resistance, as part of the ongoing weekly protests. This week's rallies took place place under the slogan, "The Birth of the Prophet of Guidance... A Call to Support Gaza and Al-Aqsa," as they coincide with the upcoming celebrations of Prophet Muhammad's (PBUH) birth, symbolizing religious devotion and solidarity with Palestine.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reports that the number of mass demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people is expected to surge to 363 across the capital and various Yemeni governorates. These widespread protests reflect the growing momentum of solidarity with Palestine, as people rally in increasing numbers to express their support for the Palestinian cause and resistance.
He highlighted that Ibb Governorate, located in central Yemen, is expected to host 70 central and subsidiary demonstrations in support of the Palestinian people and the Gaza Strip.
The demonstrators waved Yemeni and Palestinian flags, alongside banners calling for freedom and for a boycott of American and Israeli products. They reiterated their steadfast commitment to supporting Gaza, upholding the core issues of the nation, and standing firm in their refusal to compromise on its sanctity.
On Thursday, on the occasion of the Prophet's Mawlid [birth], Sayyed Abdel Malik al-Houthi addressed the latest developments regarding the Israeli aggression on Gaza, as well as local and regional updates, stressing the notion of "Jihad" during all activities in the face of the American-Israeli attack on the Ummah.
He denounced the Arabs' "contentment" with watching the crimes of murder and starvation in Palestine, the violation of honor, the burning of the Quran, and the destruction of mosques, without declaring any stance.
Some regimes work on appeasing the enemy, according to al-Houthi, as well as offering it concessions, paying tribute, and seeking its protection, in return for their conspiring against their nation. However, he noted that regardless of the abundance of services they offered the enemy, the latter would abandon them with no appreciation of all their offerings.
