Moscow celebrates 'One Russia' commemorating Donbass reunification
A crowd of Russians, gathered in Moscow's Red Square, commemorates the first anniversary of the reunification of the four regions of the Donbass.
Russians gathered in Moscow to commemorate the first anniversary of the Kremlin’s announcement of the reunification of the four Donbass regions to the territory of Russia, raising the Russian flag during a concert held in Red Square.
Some of the chants they sang near a stage and giant screens, on which was written: "One country, one family, one Russia."
The attendees were of all ages: elderly, children, and families. One of the presenters of the ceremony said as the attendees chanted "Russia," that "exactly one year ago, historical justice triumphed," stressing that "Russia does not give up what is its own. We are one country."

Russia has acknowledged the independence of the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson regions, according to decrees issued by Russian President Vladimir Putin and published on September 30, 2022.
One document recognized "state sovereignty and independence of the Zaporizhzhia Region," while the other recognized "state sovereignty and independence of the Kherson Region." Both decrees take effect on the day they are signed.
On September 28, the results of the referenda on the accession of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporizhzhia regions to the country, were released by Moscow.
