Moscow warns West against taking advantage of internal situation
The Russian Foreign Ministry stresses that Russian society has rejected the armed mutiny with "the adventurist efforts of the conspirators essentially aimed at destabilizing the situation in Russia."
The Russian Foreign Ministry released a statement on Saturday as a warning to the West against any attempts to use the ongoing armed mutiny situation in Russia for their own purposes.
The Ministry stressed that Russian society has rejected the armed mutiny with "the adventurist efforts of the conspirators essentially aimed at destabilizing the situation in Russia, undermining its unity and efforts to ensure international security."
"Thus, the mutiny plays into the hands of Russia's adversaries abroad. We warn Western countries against any attempts to use the internal situation in Russia to achieve their Russophobic goals," the Ministry added.
The Foreign Ministry continued to express confidence that a resolution is near, maintaining that the objectives of the military operation in Ukraine will not be affected and will be achieved.

The Ministry's statement concluded that Russia will continue its sovereign course to ensure security, strengthen its authority in the international arena, and create a fair multipolar world order, adding that Moscow highly appreciates the understanding of this principled position by its allies and foreign partners.
The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) launched a criminal case for armed mutiny statements made on behalf of Prigozhin, as he had called on the group's supporters inside Russia to join his movement and rebel against Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu, as well as the Chief of Staff and commander of the military operations in Ukraine, General Valery Gerasimov.
Prigozhin conditioned that he would only withdraw from Rostov if Shoigu resigned.
