Moscow: Timing of Damascus Bombing not Coincidental

Russia condemned the terror attack that blew up a bus carrying Syrian servicemen in Damascus, killing 14 people and injuring several others.
"We decisively condemn this brazen terror raid. We express our sincere condolences to the families of the victims, and we wish a speedy recovery to the injured," the Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Wednesday.

It also added: "We view this bloody crime as a brazen affront that seeks to challenge the Syrian authorities’ capability to ensure the safety of the capital and to provoke a new round of violence and thwart the efforts on political settlement in Syria."
The Foreign Ministry believed that it no coincidence that this terror attack happened just as consultations of the Syrian Constitutional Committee resumed in Geneva, renewing Russia's belief in the importance of joining international efforts in the fight against global terror, including cooperation with the Syrian government.
