Musk plans to develop towns in Texas to house company workers: CNN
Elon Musk recreates a scenario quite reminiscent of fiefdom in medieval times.
A CNN report issued on Wednesday revealed that the tech mogul is planning to build his own town so that employees from his various companies - including Tesla, Borinc Co., and SpaceX - could live in homes with rent prices below the market rate.
Citing land records and people familiar with the matter, particularly executives from Musk's Boring Company, the report states that the site of the town will be located in Texas, about 35 miles away from the city of Austin, and includes thousands of acres of land.
The town will be built right next to Boring Co. and SpaceX facilities, which are already under construction.

It further states that Musk could bend some municipal regulations in order to encourage more work.
Executives from the Boring Co. told CNN that they envisioned going further as to build an entire city.
For a town to be considered as such under Texas regulations, it must have at least 201 residents and approval from a county judge.
Though he hasn't done so yet, Musk will eventually have to apply for a township in Bastrop County, a spokeswoman said.
