Musk says Ukraine's victory "unlikely", offers "peace plan"
Tesla CEO Elon Musk posts a Tweet with a "peace proposal" for the war in Ukraine that many pro-Ukraine users find reasonable.
Controversial billionaire and CEO of Tesla and SpaceX, Elon Musk, put, yet again, the Twitter platform on fire after proposing a "peace plan" for the war in Ukraine, arguing that Russia will probably win the war eventually, thus" millions of people may die needlessly for an essentially identical outcome."
Ukraine-Russia Peace:

- Redo elections of annexed regions under UN supervision. Russia leaves if that is will of the people.
- Crimea formally part of Russia, as it has been since 1783 (until Khrushchev’s mistake).
- Water supply to Crimea assured.
- Ukraine remains neutral.
Musk posted his suggestion entailed with a poll on his Twitter account on Monday. He proposed that new elections are held in the regions of LPR, DPR, Kherson, and Zaporozhye which have voted to accede to Russia, but this time under UN supervision, with its outcome binding to all parties, while Crimea remains formally a part of Russia with no threat to its water supply and Ukraine be announced as a neutral country, arguing that, "This is highly likely to be the outcome" if the war goes on.
The Tweet enraged the Ukrainian ambassador to Berlin, who commented on the poll and told Musk in a "very diplomatic way", according to him, telling Musk to "F*** off," stating, "The only outcome is that now no Ukrainian will EVER buy your f***ing tesla crap. So good luck to you."
On the other hand, a large number of Americans rejected going after Musk and asked the Starlink CEO to shut down the previously supplied internet to Ukraine.

After initially the poll revealed more than half of the participants supported the proposal, the result was later flipped after the "biggest bot attack I’ve ever seen," as Musk announced. The billionaire then posted a new poll asking if, "people who live in the Donbas & Crimea should decide whether they’re part of Russia or Ukraine," which showed up until the time of this report that 58% out of the nearly 2 million votes said "yes".
Let’s try this then: the will of the people who live in the Donbas & Crimea should decide whether they’re part of Russia or Ukraine

The polls brought the Tesla Chief under attack by some pro-Ukraine accounts, accusing him of taking a pro-Russia stance by offering a peace plan, while other accounts that also take Ukraine's side in the war found that it was reasonable. Musk responded that he does not care, "Russia is doing partial mobilization. They go to full war mobilization if Crimea is at risk. Death on both sides will be devastating," he said, adding that he sees Ukraine's victory as "unlikely" as it is outnumbered by Russia: "If you care about the people of Ukraine, seek peace."

Russia has >3 times population of Ukraine, so victory for Ukraine is unlikely in total war. If you care about the people of Ukraine, seek peace.
It's noteworthy that at the beginning of the war in Ukraine, the Starlink Chief announced that he will deploy satellites for Ukrainians to access free internet, a move denounced by Russia claiming, "Per our information, the delivery of Starlink internet terminals to the Ukrainian armed forces was done by the Pentagon," as stated by Roscosmos Chief.
On Monday, the Russian State Duma unanimously approved draft constitutional laws regarding the accession of the entirety of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) and Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia during the first reading. Residents of the new constituent entities are recognized, according to the State Duma laws, as Russian citizens effective September 30. On January 1, 2023, the Russian ruble will replace the Ukrainian hryvnia as the only currency in the DPR, LPR, Kherson, and Zaporozhye regions, however, usage of the Ukrainian hryvnia will be authorized until the end of 2022.
Earlier, the results of the referenda on the accession of the Lugansk People's Republic (LPR), Donetsk People's Republic (DPR), as well as the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions to Russia revealed that the majority of the voters are in favor.
