Netanyahu would have one final demand before resigning: Israeli media
Israeli Maariv newspaper says the Israeli Prime Minister might consider resigning from office if the war on Gaza comes to an end, however, under a strict condition.
The Israeli Prime Minister would consider resigning if the war on Gaza is stopped, however, he will make sure one demand is completed, according to Anna Barsky, the political affairs correspondent for the Israeli Maariv newspaper.
Netanyahu could announce resignation from the leadership of the Likud party and the Israeli government after leading "Israel" in negotiations for a regional settlement, Barsky said, citing sources from circles close to the Prime Minister.
The Israeli Prime Minister believes that announcing his retirement from politics would be the only way to achieve a wide-scale regional settlement, including a deal with Saudi Arabia.
In this context, an unnamed source informed on the humanitarian truce that went into effect on Friday morning between "Israel" and the Palestinian Resistance said that "Israel" will witness "hysterical international pressure" to stop its war on Gaza nearly two weeks after the truce ends.
Maariv's source also said that at some point, the United States will recall its aircraft carriers from the Middle East, confirming that the general political environment will not be in "Israel's" favor. The source stressed that Yahya Sinwar will continue to lead Hamas in the Gaza Strip, saying that the Israeli campaign will fall apart.

The newspaper also said that Netanyahu's temporary partner in the Israeli war cabinet, Benny Gantz, will announce that the partnership has come to an end and abandon the Israeli Prime Minister.
Moreover, Maariv said the Israeli opposition has readied itself for such a moment, where mass protests would erupt calling for Netanyahu's immediate resignation.
On the other hand, Haaretz claimed that pressuring Netanyahu to resign is futile and unproductive, adding that Netanyahu believes that there is no chance of his resignation.
The newspaper added that for Netanyahu, his resignation would mean an end to his life, therefore, he should be ousted.
The Israeli political scene has seen intense tensions since Netanyahu retook power in December 2022, as his far-right coalition government took steps to overhaul the occupation's judicial system and attempted to alter the military's conscription law. These steps have led to mass settler protests in occupied Palestine and further highlighted the stark contradictions within the Israeli settler community. For tens of weeks, Israeli demonstrators called for a stop to the government's plans, while Operation Al-Aqsa Flood on October 7 revealed the fragility and incompetence of the Israeli occupation forces and the security command.
It is worth noting that Netanyahu has refused to stand accountable for his role in the major security failure, as tensions grow between the Israeli military and political command.
