Occupation revokes permits of 3 PA officials after Karim Younis visit
This comes days after "Israel's" security cabinet withheld millions in revenues from the Palestinian Authority (PA) and enforced an embargo on Palestinian construction projects in the occupied West Bank.
Three senior officials from Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas's Fatah party had their entry permits revoked after visiting recently-freed prisoner Karim Yunis in his village of Aara.
Mahmoud al-Alul, Azzam al-Ahmad and Rawhi Fattouh visited him after he was released on Thursday following his liberation after 40 years he spent behind the bars of the Israeli occupation.
The office of Security Minister Yoav Galant said in a statement, "The three men took advantage of their status and entered 'Israel' this morning (Saturday) to travel to the home of the terrorist Karim Yunis." Their permits were revoked following the visit.
The appointed security minister served earlier as a former Knesset MP in Netanyahu's previous governments and is a member of the PM's Likud party. Galant is also the former commander of the Israeli occupation's southern region.
Netanyahu calls UN vote 'despicable'
This development comes days after "Israel's" security cabinet seized millions in revenues from the Palestinian Authority (PA) and enforced an embargo on Palestinian construction projects in the occupied West Bank.
The office of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that he did so in response to the vote by the UN General Assembly to direct "Israel's" occupation of Palestine to the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which the PA requested.
According to Israeli Media, Netanyahu called the decision "despicable".
The UN General Assembly approved the resolution last Friday, with 87 countries voting in favor, 24 countries voting against, and 53 countries abstaining, while the Arab countries voted unanimously in favor of it, including those that normalized their relations with "Israel".
With a spree of Israeli barbarism and near-nightly raids as the occupation forces constantly crack on Palestinians most notably in the West Bank, 2022 shaped up to be the deadliest year in years.
167 Palestinians were murdered as a result of Israeli gunfire in the occupied West Bank this year, according to the Palestinian Authority Health Ministry.
