The information ministers of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states condemned "Israel's systematic oppression, massacre, and genocide of Palestinian civilians" in Gaza and the occupied West Bank.

Following a session in the Turkish port city of Istanbul, the member states' information ministers released a declaration calling for an "unconditional ceasefire" to prevent future casualties in the beleaguered Palestinian territory.

The Ministry of Health in Gaza announced the latest death toll in the Gaza Strip, which comes as a direct result of the Israeli aggression on the besieged territory, that has entered its 142nd day.

The spokesperson for the Ministry, Ashraf al-Qudra, said that the Israeli occupation committed seven massacres against Palestinian families in the Gaza Strip, killing 86 and injuring 131 others, since the last toll was announced on Saturday.

This has raised the number of martyrs to 29,692 Palestinians, while the number of wounded has risen to 69,879 since the Israeli occupation launched its war on Gaza on October 7, 2023.

Calling for an "unconditional ceasefire" to prevent further death and destruction, the ministers asserted that the Israeli occupation has systematically oppressed and massacred Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.

They also took a swing at "Israel's" disinformation tactics, accusing it of disseminating incorrect and misleading information to conceal its conduct, including the "deliberate and systematic" targeting of Palestinian journalists, emphasizing that this is part of an effort to "silence the voices of truthtellers."

The statement also called on the global community to immediately investigate the crimes and hold the Israeli occupation to account, reiterating that the "only path to peace and security" was through the attaining of Palestinian rights, which include "national independence and sovereignty with East al-Quds as its capital”.

This comes as Al Mayadeen's correspondent said earlier that Israeli warplanes are executing multiple raids throughout the southwestern neighborhoods of the city of Khan Younis. Our correspondent also added that occupation forces demolished a number of residential blocs in al-Zaytoun neighborhood to the south of Gaza City, adding that seven people were martyred after a strike deliberately targeted a house in al-Sabra neighborhood.

In this context, Al Mayadeen's correspondent stressed that "not even an hour passes without the occupation executing new strikes on the Strip," pointing to the brutality of the occupation's war on Gaza.

"Israel" continues to disregard international law and the orders of the International Court of Justice, launching multiple daily attacks on civilian populated areas, causing dozens of civilian casualties on a daily basis.

EuroMed calls on ICJ to sever ties with 'Israel'

The Euro-Mediterranean Human Rights Monitor called on Saturday all member states of the International Court of Justice ICJ to sever all forms of political, economic, and military relations with "Israel" due to its blatant violation of the court's decisions calling for the cessation of genocide in the Gaza Strip.

EuroMed also condemned "Israel's" repeated violations of the court's order, as well as its breaches of the Genocide Convention ratified by "Israel."

The organization based its assessment of "Israel's" compliance with the court's decision on key indicators, including genocide, killing members of the group, causing them serious bodily or mental harm, imposing living conditions intended to destroy the group, preventing births, and forcibly transferring children out of the group, and publicly inciting genocide.
