The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) has strongly condemned recent Israeli incursions into Syrian territory, calling on the international community and the UN Security Council to take immediate action to enforce international law.
The OIC urged decisive measures to compel "Israel" to halt its aggression and withdraw from all occupied territories.
Following the 20th extraordinary session of its Council of Foreign Ministers, the OIC denounced the Israeli attacks on Syria as a flagrant violation of international law, a direct assault on the country’s sovereignty, and a dangerous escalation that fuels regional tensions.
The organization also reaffirmed that the Israeli occupation of Syrian land constitutes a clear breach of the 1974 Disengagement Agreement. It underscored that the Golan Heights remains Syrian territory under occupation, rejecting "Israel’s unilateral annexation and its claims of sovereignty over the region."
Additionally, the OIC tasked its Secretary-General with closely monitoring the implementation of this resolution and presenting a comprehensive report at the next Foreign Ministers’ Council meeting.
Meanwhile, Syria’s transitional president, Ahmad Al-Sharaa, reiterated his country’s commitment to the Disengagement Agreement while condemning "Israel’s" repeated violations. Speaking at the Arab League summit in Cairo, he criticized "Israel’s continued military incursions into southern Syria and its persistent airstrikes on Syrian targets.
This comes as the Israeli occupation forces continue their advances in southern Syria, deploying soldiers, military vehicles, and drones to overlook the region.

The Israeli occupation has taken advantage of the recent political shift in Syria, marked by the armed opposition's rise to power and the overthrow of Bashar al-Assad's government. Exploiting the instability, the occupation has intensified its aggression by targeting Syria's military infrastructure, destroying vital facilities, and occupying an estimated 600 square kilometers of southern Syrian territory.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had previously instructed the military to prepare to remain in the Syrian Mount Hermon area and the UN-patrolled buffer zone until at least the end of 2025, according to Israeli Army Radio reported.
