Oman condemns Israeli aggression on Yemen
The foreign ministries of Oman and Kuwait have issued statements denouncing the Israeli attack on Yemen and urging the international community to ensure regional security.
Oman condemned on Sunday the Israeli attacks against the "brotherly Republic of Yemen".
In a statement released by its Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Oman said the Israeli aggression on Yemen signifies escalations in tension in the region.
It also called on the international community to fulfill its peacekeeping responsibilities, regionally and globally and urged it to decisively mobilize to protect civilians and guarantee the delivery of urgent humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip.
Kuwait
In turn, the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry said it was "anxiously following up with the aftermath of the unprecedented Israeli aggression on the Yemeni Republic," in a statement released on Sunday, warning of the risk of the deterioration of regional security as a direct consequence of the occupation's attacks.
It further stressed the importance of secluding the region and its people from the dangers of violence and destruction, urging the international community to uphold its duty and responsibility to end all conflicts.
'Israel' attacks Yemeni civilian infrastructure
On Saturday, Israeli war jets launched a series of airstrikes targeting Yemen's province of Hodeidah on the Red Sea coast. The aggression targeted an oil refinery, leading to a massive fire that can be seen kilometers away.
Al Mayadeen's correspondent reported that the strikes targeted the Ras Kathib power station in Hodeidah, igniting the oil storage facilities.
The Yemeni Ministry of Health reported martyrs and wounded as a result of the aggression, confirming that civilians suffered severe burns due to the fires.
