Earlier in the day, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent in the south reported that a Lebanese citizen was killed after an Israeli drone strike targeted him while he was doing plumbing work on the rooftop of his house in the town of Khiam, South Lebanon.
The strikes are part of the broader pattern of Israeli aggression on South Lebanon, which has only intensified in recent months.
Khiam and Yohmor are not the only southern towns targeted on Saturday. In Ayta al-Shaab, an Israeli drone dropped a stun grenade near the municipal building. Additionally, another Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the eastern neighborhood of the border town of al-Dhayrah, in the Tyre district. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in these incidents.
Ongoing Israeli violations of Lebanon's sovereignty
At dawn on Friday, Al Mayadeen’s correspondent revealed that an Israeli force had infiltrated into the center of the town of Mays al-Jabal in the South. During the incursion, the occupying forces destroyed two excavators that were being used to clear rubble from homes previously demolished in past strikes.
Since the November 27, 2024, ceasefire, Israeli attacks have killed over 200 people in Lebanon, and "Israel" has also violated the ceasefire over 3,800 times.
The occupation also continues to occupy five strategic border positions in southern Lebanon in clear violation of the existing ceasefire agreement.
