A poll conducted by the Moscow-based Public Opinion Foundation (FOM) showed that up to 78% of Russian citizens trust President Vladimir Putin.

78% of respondents trusted Putin, 13% did not trust the President, and 9% were unable to provide a definitive answer, according to the poll.

The poll also found that 79^% of those polled were positive about the President's performance in office, while 11% were negative and 10% were unsure.

Between April 29 and May 1, FOM conducted telephone interviews with 1,500 adults over the age of 18 in 104 cities, towns, and villages across 53 Russian regions. The margin of error is no more than 2.5%.

The results of a previous opinion poll conducted by the independent Levada Center showed that the popularity of Russian President Vladimir Putin has risen since the start of the military operation in Ukraine.
