Pakistani FM to visit India for SCO meeting
Pakistan's Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto Zardari will visit India in early May to attend a Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit, the highest-level visit by a Pakistani official in over a decade.

The foreign ministry's spokesperson, Mumtaz Zahra Baloch expressed on social media that the FM's participation "reflects Pakistan's continued commitment to SCO Charter & processes & the importance that Pakistan accords to the region in its foreign policy priorities."
On May 4-5, the foreign ministers of China, India, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Russia, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan will meet in Goa, India. In the summer, India is also slated to hold a leaders' conference hosted by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Territorial conflicts and cross-border violence in the disputed Kashmir area have strained relations between India and Pakistan.
Nawaz Sharif was the last Pakistani foreign minister to visit India in 2014 for Narendra Modi's inauguration. The year after, Modi returned the favor.
